Description: A BMAP (Basin Management Action Plan) is a water quality restoration plan prepared pursuant to Section 403.067(7), Florida Statutes. BMAPs are designed to reduce pollutant loadings to achieve the limitations identified in an adopted Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) through a comprehensive set of management strategies --permit limits on wastewater facilities, urban and agricultural best management practices, conservation programs, etc. These broad-based plans are developed with local stakeholders--they rely on local input and local commitment--and are adopted by Secretarial Order and are enforceable.

Description: The Florida Department of Agricultural and Consumer Services Office of Agricultural Water Policy enrolled agricultural producers in Best Management Practices (BMPs). These practices are implemented based on the commodity which a producer is growing, and they are tracked based on the parcel boundaries that a producer is farming. The new enrollment data is added to the exisiting enrollment data on a quarterly basis. If a producer has changed their operation size or commodity, gone out of business or sold their operation, and this change is reported or discovered by FDACS field staff, this change will also be reflected in the quarterly update.
